In China, Responsibility Leaves with the Boss – Andrew Field

ANDREW FIELD SAYS THAT ONE HAS TO BE CAREFUL when setting up a relationship in China. It’s important to be working with the person in charge and therefore it’s important to work with the person at the highest level, since people at the lower levels don’t want to take responsibility for actions that the boss has yet to approve.
Andrew is the Director of Boston University’s Shanghai Center, at Fudan University. His team work as a bridge between the US and Chinese universities, bringing Americans to China to provide exposure to their academic year.
