TRUST IS VITAL TO SUCCESSFUL CHANGE, but ‘trust’ is not as simple as people believing in you or you doing the right thing by others. Rather, it has five elements integrity, openness, competency, empathy, and consistency. In this ClarkMorgan Insights video, Gavin Nicholson focuses on one element of change management – consistency – and how it was used successfully to overcome the fear of one of his employees during a merger of departments.
Gavin Nicholson’s career began in the police force as a detective in New South Wales, Australia. This experience led him into the corporate world, focusing on investigations into fraud, code of conduct, and general short falls in management. Today, Nicholson is a senior lecturer at Victoria Universities in Melbourne, Australia.
