MIKE PIKER HAS SPENT HIS ENTIRE CAREER living around the world, living in 8 countries and speaking multiple languages. He believes that how companies move, deploy and manage their top global talent is a competitive advantage. Many companies, particularly ‘big oil’, consumer goods, and high-tech, use talent mobility to sustainably deploy and re-deploy talent their global workforce. So being able to fit into that talent pool, by working in multiple geographies around the world, will help an employee develop a high-demand transnational and global mindset which should ultimately lead to the C-suite.
Prior to joining Lenovo, Mike was a Partner and lead international consultant for Mercer based in Shanghai, China and New York, USA. His other corporate HR experience spans Syngenta, Alcoa, and Cisco in various executive roles. His other consulting HR experience spans Buck Consultants and ORC Worldwide in several regional and client facing roles.
Mike is a co-author of the report Talent Mobility Good Practices – Collaboration at the Core of Driving Economic Growth which was produced in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and presented at the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
