James owns and operates Koru Consulting Limited, an organizational development consultancy focusing on learning experience design.

A native of New Zealand and long-term resident of Hong Kong, James is a dynamic facilitator, presenter, coach, and games and simulations designer. He brings with him over 25 years of experience and insights in managing and leading projects in a variety of fields. James has excelled in managerial positions in sectors from hospitality and event management, training and telecommunications, publishing and executive search to education, defense (military), and film production.

James is also one of the founders of Brains-on-the-Beach (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/Brains-on-Beach-4423938/about) and Public Benefit Company (PBC), bringing together the best coaches, trainers, facilitators, and business experts to develop workplace solutions for corporates, charities, and social enterprises around the world.

Over the last ten years (2008-2018), James has designed and delivered over 700 days of programmes in 20 countries to more than 20,000 people from over 150 companies.

A certified executive coach and gamification professional, James is also qualified to use MBTI, DISC, Harrison Assessments, and StrengthsFinder as well as the increasingly-popular ESP Working Style system and the transformative Thinking In & Out of the Box™ programme.

James has come a long way from his early years working as a park ranger in the rainforests of New Zealand's Fiordland National Park to consulting in the urban jungles of Asia via the UK and Australia. Corner him with a good espresso, and he'll share a few tales.
